Today was my first day of work for Teksystems. I had lots of fun. We got to unpack the pretty new Dell computers, tiny little things, very cute. Copy all the users' personal stuff to network drives, get rid of the big old IBM's, which I felt kind of bad for, being all stacked up in a corner like corpses...and replace them with the pretty new Dells. I got to take lunch. That was weird. So I come home to find my computer...now, I haven't been having such a terrific time with it since I got it...but I thought it was all better...blue screening and continually rebooting itself. Now, for as bad as it was before the reinstall, not even able to ping, I never saw the thing blue screen. Lisa (to Gunnar): Did we lose power today? Gunnar: I don't think so... Why? Lisa: 'cause my computer's freaking out...again... (Gunnar follows Lisa to room, looks at computer, feigning surprise...) Gunnar: Wow... (Gunnar smiles, presses the space bar...computer's all ok again...) Gunnar: It was a screen saver.
