The post office raised the price of stamps from 34 cents to 37 cents recently. And what do we get in the way of service for our extra 3 cents THIS time? I went to the post office, to mail some packages. I arrived at 5:05. The door was locked, though I could see tons of people waiting on line inside. They close at 5 now, instead of 6, like they used to. So, I guess I can't go to the post office anymore. I guess I'll be paying my bills online from now on, and mailing packages from UPS. I'll email all of my friends from now on. I usually do anyway. They don't take as long. They're free. And they don't arrive battered and torn every once in a while. But then I guess even unpatched Windows servers are more stable than postal workers. |
