I was informed that they're giving me someone elses's old computer at work...yet again. As their rejected computer was cooler than the one I'm using now. I go to back my beloved folder full o' crap onto the network drive. All 7.5MB of it didn't FIT. Seems there was only 5.5MB there total for me. I never used it. Last time they did this to me, I backed up on a floppy. Anyway. I back the folder up on a zip disk. I ask the previous owner if the computer she just tossed to the curb had a zip drive. It didn't. I figured I could take the zip disk home and copy it to CD. They come to take my PC. I ask for one more day until they take it away, so I can take home my zip disk to burn it to cd. They apologize for the laughable amount of network drive space, and promise to give me more. They tell me they'll happily get me a zip drive. Oh, and they'll do it all tomorrow. |
