I was walking from the train to the bus after work today, down a slight hill on poured concrete. The concrete was covered with tiny pebbles, used by ETS for, oh, I can only imagine traction on the snow. Well, it doesn't work very well on concrete. I slipped on the rocks, and slid, judging by the scrapes, about an inch on my knees. I walked stood waiting for the bus for 20 minutes. By the time the bus arrived, the knees of my pants were soaked with blood. I have a pretty huge hole in one of my knees, and three smaller holes and scrapes on the other. I imagine they'll start bruising soon. Very graceful. I'm proud. |
