I went to the doctor today, and they sent me to the eye clinic at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, to see if my retina was detatching. They put dye and drops in my eyes, blew little puffs of air in my eyes, and looked around in my eyes with bright lights and mirrors. They said my retina was just fine, it was my brain with the problem. They said it was an ocular migraine and sent me on my way. I expressed concern about driving home with the blurry drops in my eyes, but they said I'd probably be fine, since the drops only affect your close up vision, and your far away vision is what you use when you drive. (You know you're not in the USA when...) So, I hopped in my car and started driving home. Only those little drops don't only affect how blurry things are, they also affect how bright things are. It was snowing, and it was rather bright out where the light hit that white snow. Squinting, I drove all the way home, if not a little cautiously. I really hoped I wouldn't get pulled over, I'd hate to have to explain my cautious driving to a cop, with my pupils big enough to put an anime character to shame. I didn't get pulled over though. Mercifully, it's Edmonton, and the cops were probably busy preparing for the next Oilers related stabbing.
