I went to Sobey's today to buy groceries to make stuffed tomatoes. At the checkout, the clerk picks up my eggplant. He turns it over a few times before asking me not how much, but, "Do you know what this is?" Seriously? Dude, you're a checkout guy in a grocery store, and you can't recognize produce? I should have said it was a giant bean sprout. I don't know. I was too stunned. |
