This happens really frequently. People decide that they're gonna browse their c drive, and arbitrarily delete files they decided they don't need. I mean, do you take the back off your fridge and start removing pieces you can't immediately identify the purpose of? Why no, you don't. But people time and time again decide to do this to their computers.

"Tech support, how can I help you?"
"I was wondering if you could help me. I accidently (yeah whatever!) deleted some files off my computer, and I haven't been able to use it for a week. I bought it from QVC, and they won't answer the phone. I really need some help."
(Giving the benefit of the doubt, assuming for a moment that this is actually a problem that one's ISP would deal with.) "Ok, what is the problem you're having?"
"When I start my computer up, it says I'm missing hi...himem something...and I get a C on a black screen, and I just need to know what to type there to make it work."
Uh huh. Yeah. Of course you do.
